The highest-leverage strategies, in order of impact
Take a full-length diagnostic and calculate your per-section percentile. Your lowest section is almost always where the biggest point gains live — attack it first.
Use flashcard spaced repetition for content-heavy sections (Bio/Biochem, Psych/Soc). 30 minutes daily with MedAI beats 4-hour weekend cramming sessions every time.
CARS improves through volume. Read a dense passage from a broadsheet newspaper or academic journal every day for 6+ weeks. Analytical reading is a skill — not a content area.
Take at least 3 full-length AAMC practice tests under real conditions — same time of day, no interruptions, test-length breaks only. Build the mental stamina required for a 7.5-hour exam.
Spend as much time reviewing incorrect answers as answering new questions. Every wrong answer reveals either a content gap or a reasoning error — both are fixable, but only if you identify the root cause.
Cramming doesn't work for the MCAT. Students who score 515+ average 300–400 total study hours spread over 3–6 months. Sustained, distributed practice is the only proven path to large score gains.
Tell MedAI your current score and target score — the platform automatically creates a day-by-day MCAT study roadmap, identifies your weakest sub-topics, and assigns adaptive practice questions that target exactly where you need the most points.
